Importance of Nishkama-Karma and Bhakti

Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji graced the city of Mahbubnagar on November 19 as a part of the 2012-13 Vijaya Yatra. In His Anugraha Bhashanam the Jagadguru covered four main themes:

1. Sri Adi Shankaracharya uprooted 72 schools of thought who were opposed to the correct import of the Vedas.
Non-duality (Advaita) is a firm conclusion of the Upanishads.
Nishkama Karma, performing actions dedicated to Ishwara will free one from bondage.
Bhakti has an important place in Advaita.
