Makara (Thai) Shukra Vara Utsava at West Mambalam Sringeri Math January 15, 2011

With the blessings of the Jagadguru, like every year, this year’s Thai Sukravara Utsava has been proposed to be celebrated in the Math premises in a grand manner. The first Thai Shukravara (Friday) falls on January 21, 2011. In the evening, at 7 PM, Sri Sharadambal’s utsava vigraha will be decorated in Unjal (swing) and special Puja will be conducted followed by distribution of Prasadams.

Suryanarayana Puja Celebrations at West Mambalam Sringeri Math January 15, 2011

With the blessings of His Holiness, Sankaranthi – Suryanarayana Puja will be conducted ON 15th of January between 7.40 AM and 8.40 AM at the Math premises. In the evening, utsavamurthys of Lord Ganapathy, Sri Sharadambal and Lord navaneethakrishna decorated in vahanas will be carried around the temple. We wish all the devotees of Acharyal a happy Sankranthi / Pongal.

The 93rd Jayanthi Mahotsavam of Jagadguru Sri Abhinava Vidyatheertha Mahaswamigal , the 35th Jagadguru Shankaracharya of Sri Sringeri Sharada Peetham was held recently at Chennai in India for five days in a grand manner.

60th Year of the Jagadguru – celebrations at Mumbai Sringeri Shankara Math December 24, 2010

In continuation of the year long celebration of the 60th year of the Jagadguru Shankaracharya, Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji, Ashtadravya Amrita Mrityunjaya Homa was performed on the Mrigasheersha Nakshatra day, Tuesday, the 21st of December 2010. Many shishyas and devotees attended the Homa to receive the blessings of Acharyal.

Dhanur Masa Puja at Mumbai Sringeri Shankara Math December 23, 2010

Dhamnurmasa Pooja is performed every year at Sringeri Math, Mumbai. The temple opens early morning at 5 am and Maha Deeparadhana takes place around 7 am. Thiruppavai and Thruvempavai are rendered daily by Suvasinis before Deeparadhana.
