Narasimha Jayanti & Abhisheka to Goddess Sharadamba May 22, 2016

On May 20 2016, Narasimha Jayanti was celebrated at Sringeri. At noon, Sri Mahasannidhanam offered a special Puja at Guru Nivas to the golden Vigraha of Lord Lakshmi Narasimha. Vedic Chants comprising the Purusha Sukta, the Narayana Sukta and Vishnu Sukta filled the air as the Jagadguru performed Abhisheka to Lord Narasimha, the Avatara signifying the omnipresence of the Lord. Sri Sannidhanam witnessed the Mahamangalarati and was present as Sri Mahasannidhanam performed the Parayana of Srimad Bhagavatam depicting the Avatara of Lord Narasimha.

The birth anniversary of Sri Adi Shankara Bhagavatpada, the rejuvenator of Santana Dharma, was reverentially observed at Sringeri by Their Holinesses Jagadguru Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji and Jagadguru Sri Sri Vidhushekara Bharati Mahaswamiji from May 7 2016, to May 13 2016. An assembly of Vedic scholars from across the country gathered to participate in the celebrations led by Sri Mahasannidhanam and Sri Sannindham, and to pay their respects to Bhagavatpada. Kumbhabhisheka at Horanturu May 4, 2016

On May 4 2016, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam performed Jeernoddharana Kumbhabhishekas at the Mallikarjuna Swamy and Suryanarayana Swamy temples at Horanturu near Sringeri. The Suryanarayana Swamy temple had recently been renovated by the Peetham. Sri Sannidhanam blessed the assembled devotees with an Anugraha Bhashanam and then graced them with Phala Mantrakshatas.
